- What are the benefits of a Bulk Gift Card Account?
- Individuals: A Bulk Gift Card account provides the ability to purchase over $1,000 in gift cards within one online or in-store transaction.
- Businesses: A Bulk Gift Card account provides the ability to purchase over $1,000 in gift cards within one transaction, the ability to pay with a WIRE transfer, and the ability add authorized users to the account with their own login credentials.
- Who can apply for a Walmart Bulk Gift Card Account?
- Individuals: with a valid government-issued ID and valid Social Security number can apply for an Individual Account. You will need to complete an application with basic information about yourself (e.g. name, DOB, Social Security number, contact information, etc.), agree to our Gift Card Terms & Conditions (https://Walmart.com/giftcardterms), as well as acknowledge you’ve read and understood our Fraud brochure (http://walmart.com/fraud). - Why does the account require a vetting process?
- The U.S. Bank Secrecy Act, designed to prevent the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, requires Walmart to verify the identities of customers purchasing large amount of prepaid access products (i.e., gift cards). This also helps protect our customers from gift card fraud, which has substantially increased over recent years. Your information will be vetted by a specialist to determine eligibility.
- What happens after my application is submitted?
- Once your application is submitted, a Corporate Sales Specialist will review your information and reply within three business days. We reserve the right to accept or reject applications at our sole discretion.
- Will my credit be impacted by the Bulk Application Process?
- No, we do not inquire data from nor report data to credit bureaus..
- Why was my account declined?
- To ensure the integrity of our vetting process we cannot provide the exact reason for a declined application.

- How do I reset/change my password?
- Change your password in My Profile, under My Account.
- If you have forgotten your password click the “Forgot My Password”, enter your email address and an email will be sent with a link to reset your password.
- How do I find my purchasing limit?
- Your gift card purchasing limit can be found under Account Profile.
- How do I update my information (address, phone number, ID expiration date, etc.)
- Individuals: update your information in My Profile, under My Account. As part of Walmart’s ongoing efforts to prevent financial services-related fraud and money laundering, changes will not be made until the information submitted is verified.
- Businesses: Please send an email to shoppingcards@wal-mart.com with the requested changes on company letterhead. Once the information is verified, a specialist will make the requested changes to the account.
- Why do I not see the option to purchase eGift cards on my account?
- Individuals may purchase up to 35 eGift cards on www.walmart.com/giftcards

- Can I purchase Bulk Gift Cards in-store?
- Yes, but first you will need a Bulk Gift Card account. Please visit www.walmart.com/bulkgiftcards, click Apply Now and complete the application. A specialist will review your request and respond within three business days.
- Where do I go in-store to purchase bulk gift cards?
- Please visit the Customer Service Desk or Money Center for your bulk gift card purchasing needs.
- What information do I need to make an in-store bulk purchase?
- You will need the phone number and government-issued photo ID used to register the account. If the phone number and ID do not match, you will not be able to complete the in-store purchase.
- I have a Bulk Account, why was I not able to complete my in-store purchase?
- Validate that the phone number and photo ID presented in-store match the information in your account profile. If that information matches you may have reached your purchase limit. Your limit can be found under Account Profile. The purchasing is a daily cumulative limit for both in-store and online orders..
- What cards are available to purchase in-store
- The Customer Service Desk and Money Center will have a basic Walmart-branded gift card design available in packages of five. Or if you would like one of our seasonal designs, located on our Gift Card Cube, please bring your selection of cards to the Customer Service Desk or Money Center with you for checkout.
- Are there limits to the amount of gift cards I can purchase in-store?
- Yes, you will only be able to purchase up to 50 cards and up to your pre-approved gift card limit. If you would like to purchase more than 50 cards you may do so online.
- Why can’t I make high-dollar or bulk gift card purchases in-store?
- Due to increased victim assisted fraud in the past few years, Walmart has updated our Gift Card Purchasing Policy to help protect our customers from loss.
- Where is my order?
- All our gift card orders are shipped via trackable service. You will find the tracking information in the Items Ordered section of the Order Details screen.
- Why is signature required on my FedEx Shipment?
- As an extra layer of security for our customers, we are requiring signature delivery for all orders over $1,000.
- How long does it take to receive my order?
- Once payment is received and confirmed, it can take up to 48 hours for the order to be fulfilled. You will receive a confirmation email once the order has been fulfilled. Transit times are as follows:
- Standard Ground: 3-5 days after fulfillment
- Expediated 2 Day: 2 days after fulfillment
- Standard Overnight: Day after fulfillment

- Walmart offers free standard ground shipping. You may select expedited shipping for a small fee upon checkout, prices are subject to destination location.

- Do I need to activate the plastic Gift Cards I received from my online order?
- If your order is under $9999.99, no action is needed and the cards will arrive active and ready to use.
- If your order is $10,000 or larger, you will need to activate the gift cards via the portal.
- How do I activate the plastic Gift Cards I received?
- Log into account.
- Click on Recent Orders.
- Locate the Manage Cards dropdown at the top right above their order report and click Activate.
- Select the radio button next to the order(s) that need to be activated.
- Click Submit.
- The plastic gift cards will be activated within 6 hours.
- What is an ATF Restricted card?
- ATF Restricted cards cannot be used to purchase alcohol, tobacco, firearms or lottery related items. This card can be used in Walmart and Sam’s Club stores, on Walmart.com and at Walmart gas stations.
- What is a Turkey Restricted card?
- Turkey Restricted cards can only be to purchase fresh/frozen turkey, bone-in/boneless ham, and fresh produce in Walmart stores.
